PLL recognition trainer

Name the PLL case from two sides as fast as you can read it, before your hands get involved.

Configuration

Each case drawn at random, at a random angle.

The cube is drawn with this color at the bottom, so the last layer is the one you solve. Random picks a new color every case.

Criteria

Add criteria to your training. Any attempt that misses one counts as a DNF.

How PLL recognition training works

What PLL recognition is

Recognition is reading the case: you look at the last layer and name the PLL before touching the cube. You see the position at any of four angles and answer as fast as you can.

How the drill works

Select the cases you want to learn, choose the cross color and add criteria such as a time limit. Your answer time is recorded for every case and angle.

How to practice here

Start with a few cases and widen the selection once you answer them quickly. Adaptive mode, a Pro feature, repeats the case and angle pairs you are slowest at.

Why practice PLL recognition separately?

Recognition is a skill of its own. Here you name the case without a cube in your hands, so executing the algorithm does not slow the drill.

Which angles does it use?

The same case can show up at any of four angles, so you learn to recognize it from every side.

Do I need a cube to use this trainer?

No. You only look at the position and answer.

How is it different from the PLL trainer?

The PLL trainer drills the algorithm itself. This one drills only naming the case.
