2x2 EG trainer
Practice all 120 CLL, EG1 and EG2 cases for the 2x2. Pick them by set and shape, add a time limit and track your progress.

How 2x2 EG works
What EG is
EG is a method for the 2x2: you build the first layer, then finish the cube with a single algorithm.
The three sets
CLL has 40 cases for a first layer that is already correct. EG1 has 40 cases for a first layer with a misplaced bar. EG2 has 40 cases for a first layer with two diagonal corners swapped. Each set is split into the seven corner shapes: Sune, AS, H, Pi, L, T and U.
How to practice here
Start with one shape of one set, such as the six CLL Sune cases, and add shapes once the first ones stop slowing you down. Random draws any selected case. Sequential and Recap go through every case once, so none gets skipped. A time limit turns any slower attempt into a DNF, and a connected smart cube times recognition and execution separately.
How many algorithms are there in 2x2 EG?
120 cases: 40 CLL, 40 EG1 and 40 EG2. A common order is CLL first, then EG1, then EG2.
What is the difference between CLL and EG?
CLL assumes the first layer is already correct. EG1 and EG2 cover the first layers that are not, a misplaced bar or two swapped diagonal corners, so you still finish with one algorithm.
Do I need a smart cube to use the trainer?
No. A smart cube is optional. When connected, it adds separate recognition and execution times.
Where do I find the algorithms?
Each set has its own list in the algorithm library, linked above, with a diagram and algorithms for every case. Use the trainer to drill them a few at a time.
